Veteran actress Brigitte Nielsen has revealed that the Maldives, known all over the world for its upmarket tourism industry, is her favourite holiday destination in the world.
Nielsen, who described the destination as “spectacular”, said guests are fully catered for the entire time.
During her holidays, she does nothing more than relax and read, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the warm Indian Ocean.
“It’s very simple stuff – no phones, no television,” the actress remarked.
“It’s all about getting accustomed to yourself and it takes probably three or four days to unwind. Then it becomes beautiful and you don’t want to leave. It’s a great experience.”
Brigitte said there is nowhere else on Earth where “I can relax to the point of being able to sleep 16 hours a day.”
